Shining the light on local communities, guiding supporters to great causes

beecan

How Beecan came to be

Beecan sprung from a desire to better link local communities with supporters, delivering measurable impacts and change across Hull and East Yorkshire. A stakeholder need was identified for a digital space: shining a light on ideas, resources, causes and funding. Through intensive consultation and development Beecan has emerged as a new, online platform uniting sectors around a common goal - of bringing good intentions to life.

How Beecan adds value

Beecan shines the light on local communities, whilst unlocking the resources and funding, to reach more beneficiaries. Beecan celebrates the work and strengthens the voice of the Voluntary Charitable Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and its supporters; enabling great work to happen, today, tomorrow and beyond.

For communities this means:

  • Greater understanding of the fundraising landscape
  • Raising the public profile of your cause
  • Access to free, resource / development tools
  • An easier approach to funder searching
  • The ability to find supporters to help you succeed
  • Progressing projects with positive outcomes
  • A peer network to share and celebrate success

For supporters this means:

  • Greater understanding of the VCSE sector
  • Raising the public profile of your funding stream
  • A easier approach to VCSE searching
  • The ability to find local causes that matter to you
  • Managing your giving through a grant management system
  • Making a measurable impact in your local community
  • A peer network to share and celebrate success
