Incredible Edible Marshland is a small grassroots community organisation that has achieved much in a small amount of time. We believe in the power of small actions and aim to support the marshland villages by learning from each through growing, making and sharing and supporting local businesses.

Funded to date: £3,135
£0 needed to reach goal of £3,135
100% funded
Finished on 06-07-2020

We were set up in July 2019, since then we have established ourselves with 5 volunteers, 2 of which are the main drivers in terms of developing projects, applying for funding and ensuring delivery.  These 2 people have provided everything to make things happen.  We have now reached a point where we need to invest in some equipment just for IEM, a printer, laminator, 2 mobile phones (rather than using our own personal mobiles), develop a website as well as consumables in order to cut down on printing costs and to ensure a quality service moving forward. We have an active facebook page but wish to develop a produce map for the marshland villages and cannot do so without a website.  As we grow and diversify and are now working towards becoming a registered charity we need to improve our 'back office' functions to ensure sustabinability.

We have delivered 1000 meals to vulnerable residents during the pandemic, delivered 345 'grown your own' veg boxes to every home in the marshland, run cookery lesson, gardening lessons, delivering seeds around the villages, secured funding for a spring planting programme and wildflower verge development, supported small businesses, and now have 7 sharing barrows across the villages.  We have as well collected prescriptions, groceries, kept in touch with residents and dropped off baking, fruit and locally produced vegetables.

By having our own, quality equipment, we will be able to produce a quarterly newsletter ourselves, produce leaflets and flyers quickly and have a more professional set up.  We are currently dependent on the good will of 2 people, if they left or were unable to continue IEM would be severely affected.
